While we were (all) gone, Sparky's school newsletter arrived. Oddly, it was addressed to "[Sparky + middle-name] Escobar." Hint: his last name originated in a country slightly further north from where people named Escobar normally live. His first and middle names don't really 'match' Escobar either. All his other mail has come with the correct name, including the mailing about 9th-grade physicals.
I guess I need to stop at the school tomorrow and let them know that he and his father actually share the same last name. Very bizarre.
I wonder who Sparky Escobar is...?
