Message?

Yesterday, while searching through the boxes we brought home from Beast's parents' house last summer, Beast found a wrapped Christmas gift for Sparky. We could tell right away that it was a video, wrapped in Christmas paper with a tag on it. The tag was yellowing, so this was obviously not a recent purchase. Well, that and the fact that it was a video (not a DVD or game)!

Turns out that Sparky has a new (to him) version of Mother Goose Rhymes in Song.

I'm thinking this gift is 15 years old, or so. Flashback.

[Anyone still have a VCR and want this?]

Electronic fitness

Mood: Good
Hair: Pony
Eyes: ...sigh
Listening to: Sparky unrolling the yoga mat
I am--with assistance--setting up the Wii Yoga.

The mat is pink. Gaahhh.

Should be interesting.

No, I will not be posting video. You'll have to come to my house to laugh...

...oh, wait. We got the "Starter Kit" which doesn't include the GAME.

Nevermind. I'm gonna bowl instead.

Gotta brag

Haven't done a brag post on Sparky for awhile, which is a shame because he has really been on a lengthy positive roll this fall. But this morning he said something that kinda stunned me. He showed me a necklace that he bought for a friend of his (a girl), and told me that he was giving it to her NOT because he likes her 'that way' (Mo-o-o-om! she's got a boyfriend!!!). He bought it for her this weekend because she mentioned last week that her dad lost his job and so her family wouldn't be able to have much of a Christmas this year. He didn't want her not to have any presents.

I love that (young) man. See why I gotta brag? [I can't find a song clip to embed, but in my head is running the intro to "Gotta Sing" from Singin' in the Rain]

Loot

So, yeah, I got floors for Christmas...in November. But there were prezzies under the tree, too.

Here's the list, in no particular order:
Also a check, some candy, and another "regular" calendar that I'm too lazy to find.

All in all, a satisfactory haul.
