Not that it's working, but I'm boring myself. So I'll try a new tactic, using yesterday's crankfest as a template:
--Most bloggers are pretty forgiving, and don't say retarded things about which they know nothing in other people's comment boxes...
--I love listening to people with accents, especially if I can't tell immediately what their language/nationality of origin is; it's fun to guess.
--So, I'm an official wimp about flu shots. So, my arm feels--22 hours later--like it's on fire. Hey, at least I won't get the flu. Ri-i-i-ight??
--I have the next two-and-a-half hours free to catalog. And I hope that Vertigo Woman gets her head figured out by Saturday, when I'll have the whole day to finish catching up.
--Most people are really nice, if a bit self-oriented PLUS the raving lunatic walking in circles outside the library between 7 and 8 this morning didn't actually come into the building at 9. I guess he spun himself off to some other galaxy
--C.T.'s isn't here today, cause enough for a massive frickin' party.
--Sleeping's overrated (sez the Beast).
--Life goes on, whether we like where it's taking us or not.
OK? Better? Not sure I'm buying 100% (or even 50%) of this, but maybe it'll help.
Amended: By the way, re Vertigo Woman, I'm not unsympathetic to vertigo sufferers across the board. It's hypochondriacs for whom I have a limited sympathy pool. Vertigo Woman is also Migraine Woman and Non-Techie Librarian, and of course Hypochondriac Librarian. Those are just the tip of the iceberg: she's also Crazy Cat Woman #2 (we have a crazier-than-her on staff) and A**l-Rententive Serials Librarian and Won't Shut Up and Has Been Known to Talk to Staff While We Go To The Bathroom Woman. I'm just done.
