Thursday already?!

I'm preparing for the great slog through the 631 holds our library currently has outstanding (up from 582 two weeks ago). Last year this time we had 428. Hmmm.

But part of that preparation is listening to Sting and avoiding work. ...just for 10 minutes....

Quick summary of the week:

Sales Guy, a.k.a. Beast, sold some of his new product finally. This has been an ongoing problem for his boss and higher-ups. Hurrah. Hope his Big Presentation goes well today.

I started a reflog while on the desk yesterday for 3 hours. It is enlightening. To me at least. And fun to do.

No in-school suspensions this week. hah
Just news that the entire classroom, plus a few of the other 5th grades, are pretty much in lock-down because of their behavior towards one another. Among other privileges revoked, they are all back to having to line up together after recess and before lunch to use the bathroom, just like in 1st grade. No more trips by themselves. Glad to know that, at 6 months into the school-year, the teachers have finally noticed. The next incident we hear about of our kid being hassled, I call the principal and school board. Guess it pays to work with former teachers, former school board members and current both!

Bible study last night. Real study. We're doing Ephesians. Some people need to study history, however. One person kept trying to say that cities 2000 years ago were more homogeneous (sp?) than they are now, that everyone was pretty of the same mindset and belief system, not to mention ethnic background. Huh. But the study materials are by a publisher I've used on my own before, and liked.

Tomorrow is a big Dewey day. We get to talk about the changes in 22 and what they mean to us. Sounds fun, no?? As if that weren't enough, we then get to talk about places catalogers can keep up-to-date on changes in "things" overall. All this in about 6 hours, with a lunch break. Where is the Dr. Pepper?? I may even need Jolt!

Avoidance has to end. Time to get these reserves organized.
