What are you doing??

A few weeks ago I sent out an email to everyone asking them to mark if they participate in any of the Technical Services tasks I listed, and also to add any that I'd missed.

A prankster on staff....who shall remain nameless...but is clearly NOT a cataloger...[Yes, I got clearance to post this]... responded this way:

Arrivals
I wave those orange thingies and tell the big planes where to park… I don’t do baby arrivals however.

Sourcing and Prepping

Cataloging
I throw those damn things away after they have been sitting around for months and months

Item Entry
I won’t go there… Actually, I wish I went there more often…

Processing
This doesn’t happen too often in my brain…. As I’m sure you can tell.

Checking in the OPAC
I help make those *&^#@ with my credit card every time I fill up my tank. Don’t do checks anymore. Too 1990s.

Bindery
I make my kids work there to earn their keep.

Mending
I do this all the time because I can’t keep my mouth shut.

[Serials??] not sure if this belongs
I like mini-wheats myself. And you?

[Acquisitions??] Not sure about this either
I have a garage and basement full of useless acquisitions. Would you like some?

Kits
I only do caboodles…

I’ll take cash please…
