Weekend

Saturday:
I worked from 8 to 5 straight through. Got quite a lot done, in spite of having to cover the Ref Desk for an hour and fighting brush-fires all day. The biggest brush-fire was the arrival of people at 10 a.m. for a computer class ... and the person teaching the class had the day off (and was out of town). Oops.

When I got home, all the lights in the upstairs were on, including the spare room. The boys had decided to rearrange furniture. Sparky is now 'trying out' the futon, and his (former) bed is in the spare room with the matching bed and desk. The spare room looks like a real bedroom finally! This will make the overnight-visitors thing work much better at Christmas.
Sunday:
I slept until 8 (and paid for it all day with an incredibly sore shoulder). Beast produced Cinnamonsters for breakfast. We drove Sparky to his confirmation meeting, then went and picked up Beast's rental car for this week's trip. He went back to church while I drove home, stopping at Target on the way for a couple of odds & ends.

About 10 minutes after arriving home, Beast called to tell me I should probably be at church after all since there was a congregational meeting. I'm the clerk; I should remember these things! So I drove back to town, missed the beginning of the meeting, which lasted all of 4 minutes, I think, and came back home. What a waste of gas!

The rest of my day was spent on the couch, Simming. I had to reload everything, so I've lost all my old people. That's a bummer. Oh well. I had a good time. All three of the teams we root for won their football games yesterday (Packers, Browns, Broncos) so that made the day even better. I have a new work satchel which is extremely cool.

And work? Didn't think about it at all until about 7 p.m. when I was talking to my in-laws. By the way, FIL is home from the hospital, and MIL is recovering from a fall she took last week at home. She's very sore, and very anxious to have her knees replaced to alleviate some of that pain.

It was nice having a day of no hard decisions, and no battles to fight.

Today, I need to call back several people, finalize the greens order, start calling kids about deliveries this weekend, hit the grocery store, send out shower invites, and call in a couple of Rx renewals. Oh, and study for the barcoding test I'll be taking tomorrow. Huh. Best not to think about that.
