Long day

I was up this morning at 5. OK, I hit the Snooze button at least once, since the plan was to be awake and running by 4:45. It didn't help that I dropped a can of Diet (thank God!) Dr. Pepper onto the front edge of the open fridge this morning. After spending 15 minutes cleaning up the resulting spray of brown liquid--it went everywhere, even onto the kitchen window and the carpet in the dining room UNDER the table...I had to go back upstairs and change pants: my left pant leg was drenched.

But, anyway. Sparky is on his canoe trip. Beast is about 20 minutes from home after a couple of days out of town on yet another business trip.

I've traded one boy for the other, apparently. {hee}

The highlight of the workday was solidarity with other sane catalogers and discovering how Outlook's thesaurus works. What word was I "thesaurusing" you ask? "Discouraged." The word of the week...month, perhaps half-year.

I arrived home from work at 3 (I was at work at 6:40 this morning, ok?) and spent about 30 minutes tidying up. I'm a slob, but I don't want Beast to know it (listen for the snort when he reads this).

There are 8 days' worth of local papers on the floor by the couch here. Plus today's local weekly. Good thing Blogger is down tonight for maintenance; I can catch up on the papers.

Tomorrow is potentially nightmare meeting #1. I just found out this afternoon that Miss Condescending a.k.a. Techie Librarian will be there with me. Shit. Thank God for Amy. I'll have a little window of 'real' time at lunch before the meeting at least. Afterwards, I have to rush back and stay at work till 9.

Oh, and I hate allergies. My mouth, nose, eyes and face are constantly itchy. I can't take enough Benadryl to stop that, on top of the Allegra-D I take daily.
