My niece, the one who was married last year (here is where the chaos of that two-week period is most easily laid out),

The baby is due just before her own birthday in January, although from experience I'd say that this early in the game is a little soon to bank on the due-date holding firm; Sparky's moved around across two full weeks.

That's exciting. And I think it qualifies as good news, non-whiny variety. It means I'm going to be a Great-Aunt...

...not that I'm not already a great aunt (8 times over), of course.
