With the help of a good friend today, I figured out why I'm so far behind on my actual work.

So, this friend went into the boss's office yesterday, and caught a glimpse of the boss's open Outlook Inbox. Now, if you use Outlook, you know that incoming messages are generally bolded until you read them. The whole screen was bold.

In the course of the conversation, my friend managed to see the folder list: over 900 unread messages!

So, see, that's why I'm not caught up: I keep reading (and answering) my work-related email!
