It's probably not a good idea. I just came across this, in the normally interesting 025.431 Dewey Blog:
Details of January's highlighted updates to DDC 22 have been posted on the Dewey web site's "New and changed entries" page. The main aim of this month's updates is to bring the development in Table 6 for Eastern Malayo-Polynesian languages more closely in line with the structure and terminology that Ethnologue uses in its classification of these languages. (See this earlier post for more info on Ethnologue.) Before the updates, the caption at T6—995 was Austronesian languages of Melanesia and Micronesia, and the one at T6—9952 was Austronesian languages of Micronesia. These captions have been changed to Eastern Malayo-Polynesian languages and Micronesian languages, respectively; and comprehensive works on Oceanic languages (the major subgroup in Ethnologue of Eastern Malayo-Polynesian languages) have been relocated from T6—994 Polynesian languages to T6—995....Dear God in heaven. I've lost my English-reading skills!
No, wait, maybe it really is just excruciatingly boring. Bring on the caffeine!
