The librarian who normally delivers to Shut-Ins is on vac this week. Since I'm the most recent person to have done this before him, he usually bugs me to fill in (twice, in 3 1/2 years!). So I'm off to the nursing homes and retirement places this afternoon, playing Betty Book-Lady. It's fun; I can check up on those folks to whom I used to deliver.
Plus, I get to be outside on a lovely day. It's like playing hooky and getting paid for it!
