Guinea pig. And words.

Whatever. I'm sick. Deal.

We found something out last night about Ruka. He has a REALLY LOUD VOICE! While Sparky was cleaning the cage, Beast and I held the pigs. I got Ruka. Once he realized that Buddy was out of the cage as well, Ruka started up a running squeak-versation across the living room--leaving Buddy with very little time to respond. He was also facing Buddy, not climbing my scalp. Maybe he doesn't like the smell of Ben-Gay?

Also, he smells different from Buddy. One of my favorite serendipitous discoveries about guinea pigs is how wonderful they smell when they are healthy. I always knew when Cinnamon took a turn for the worse because he just smelled funky (in the older sense of that word). Buddy smells like the outdoors: warm hay and fresh air. Ruka smells of smoke...wood smoke with maybe a little hint of cigar or pipe (not that stinky additives-to-tobacco smell). Not exactly campfire, but close.

Good to know, eh?

Urban Word for today:
fud: Fear, Uncertainty and Doubt. Also known as scare tactics, either accomplished by threat or making the opponent doubt his standpoint. Not only used in lawsuits, but also in politics and military propaganda.

Ruka seems to be overcoming his fud. That didn't last long!
after rereading the definition:
It sounds to be like the best response to fud is a loud "Up yours."
