Ragout

Two books I worked on today today: The Biography of Chocolate and The Biography of Sugar. Whee. The rest of the series (cotton, rubber, spices...) not so exciting. These two made me happy, though!

The author of a book on mountain critters I've just cataloged is Fleur Star. What a great name...wonder what she does in her off-hours. Sorry, cheap shot.

More good lyrics (more cheerful, too):
Last night's conversation with a real good friend of mine drinkin wine wine wine
Said fifty years of livin and your worst mistakes forgiven takes time time time
("Earthbound" Rodney Crowell)
Spent the afternoon IMing with the Evil Ice Queen at System HQ--the one I like, G--berating S!rs!. As usual. It's almost not even fun: too easy of a target!

This is annoying (from the boss):
Beginning Feb. 17, we must dial 1-[area code]– before every call. Ugh. We will be changing the fax machines to dial out properly. If you have any numbers programmed on your phone, you will need to add 1-[area code] to them. I'll have to relearn how to program my phone. Again.
Final count for items classed (what I did was technically not cataloging): 95. All of them were skinny kids' series books. Shoot me. There is still a full shelf of them left to do. I think I'll do something, ANYthing else, tomorrow!
