Today was Shop for School Clothes Day. Sparky went through his closet and dresser yesterday, clearing out stuff that doesn't fit. I followed after him, taking out stuff that I think doesn't fit, and also removing things he's never going to wear, even though it still fits. sigh
So today at Old Navy, we were all about what he will wear. I've told him that if there are still tags on things in October, he owes me the price on the tag. Hopefully that convinced him to get serious about what he picked.
We also grocery shopped, and met Beast for lunch. It was a good day. We dropped $350 at Old Navy (some of that was for Mom clothes), $100 at the grocery store (and I forgot salad dressing and spaghetti sauce), and burned about 10 gallons of gas.
Sparky has three more class days of his algebra warmup class. He missed two days last week for the canoe trip, and somehow has ended up ahead of the rest of the kids because the teacher told him to work on more than she ended up covering in class. So he's already gotten through quadratic equations; she hasn't even started them in class. That's a good sign for fall, at least in math.
Tomorrow I go back to work. Why am I not excited? I think I'm just tired. As if that's news around here.
