Apparently, someone brought a cake to work yesterday. It was put in the fridge at the end of the day to keep it edible. A noble goal: they even covered it carefully with a tall lid...
...and then they didn't shut the door to the fridge all the way.
So everything in the fridge isn't cold, including my Dr. Pepper. I put a bottle of DP in the freezer, and I'll go get it in a half hour or so.
It would have been more helpful to put the cake outside on the step to keep it cool.
