I'm three hours, at most, from the end of "Shoah." And I just can't watch any more (anymore?) of it, today. Saw about 2 hours this afternoon and I could get another hour in tonight...but I can't.
So I'm going to go read about Langston Hughes' experiences in Merv (Turkmenistan, in Soviet Central Asia) in the early 1930s. Or maybe learn some more "Frenglish."
Or I could really go for the Deep Stuff and read "Entertainment Weekly" since Daniel Radcliffe is on the cover this week, looking nothing like himself. This, of course, means the big push for the next "Harry" movie has begun.
Three good movies towards the end of the year this year: Wallace and Gromit, Harry, and Narnia. None of them will win the Best Picture Oscar, but who cares? They'll keep me entertained for a few hours, and that's all I really ask at this point.
In any case, by 11, I'll be asleep, God willin' and the creek don't rise. I have to be alert for tomorrow's Big Meeting.
