This story isn't mine. But it could be.
I love public libraries.
It has been just that kind of day here. I was on Reference for several hours this morning and the first person I spoke to was a jerk. And then sixth. And the twelfth. Just that kind of day.
The question I was left with at the end of the day is how someone under the age of 25 with a generally average IQ can't know how to use a mouse, the Internet, Google, Explorer, or anything else to do with computers. But, no, that's not the most amazing part: the main question is how someone like this can con 5 different people (non-staff) to help her print out pictures of some TV star (from CBS) after I got "too busy" to help her. She's dumb as a box of rocks, but smart in the ways of coercion. I stand in respectful silence at her skill.
