11 a.m. update: Have received two calls from Sparky from school this morning about missing homework. This has been a horrendous stretch for him. Poor kid. We are back to checking his backpack and homework and the homework hotline and the emailed homework alerts...all with that fine-tooth comb. And making him bring home every last book, folder and paper from his locker until he gets his act together.
What's playing in my headphones right now? The Authority Song by Mellencamp (one of my favorites). How fitting: "I fight authority, Authority always wins."
