Shopping

Word of the day: malapropos \mal-ap-ruh-POH\, adjective:
Unseasonable; unsuitable; inappropriate.

Yesterday was not malapropos. Not at all. It was a lovely day yesterday to shop at an outdoor mall. OK, so the bookshelf plan fell completely apart (Crate & Barrel didn't have the right kind in stock) and OK we took a 15-minute tour of the suburbs trying to find the Interstate on our way home (this state sucks at signage!). Who cares--we had fun!

Once again, I had issues in restaurants with glass. I guess that's an improvement--I went through a period awhile back of knocking over full cups of pop for about 3 years. This time, fortunately, the glass was on the table not in the cup itself. And the Bleu Cheese Burger was really wonderful (this coming from someone who doesn't usually order burgers...).

Final Tally for me:

Crate & Barrel:
6 spiral chrome corn picks (yea--no more yellow tacky plastic ones!)
6 summer glasses Glasses

Restoration Hardware:
a stocking stuffer for The Beast for Christmas
3 extendable forks for cooking over fires

Eddie Bauer:
2 T-shirts
1 cami
1 belt
1 polo shirt

And VS. Because we're girls. Even though everything in there is PINK. Or rather: PINK. Painfully so.

But mostly we did the "girl talk" thing and discussed boys. [Hi Robert.] All in all, it was totally high school, even to the point of feeling guilty in Neiman-Marcus (which we only love for its plumbing). A blast.
