Riddle

Weather: 28 degrees (feels like 19); cloudy, miserable and damp
Mood: OK, a little shaky and dizzy
Listening to: blowers
Where am I? Work

We survived the Super Bowl. The commercials were ok, the game was closer than I expected, and no bloodshed occurred at our house, in spite of there being six kids around, ages just-4 through just-12. We also have tons of food left over. As usual.

I'm in a weird mood. My head feels vaguely almost-headachy, and my eyes are having trouble focusing, almost as if I need bifocals today: distance is fine, anything within arms-reach is foggy.

Beast is home sick again. Still. I'm trying to NOT catch whatever he has (he's been sick since before Thanksgiving). Right now it seems to be a sinus infection from hell, one that has apparently moved in, unpacked and found a well-paying job in the neighborhood.

Sparky's ear--his left one, if ya'll care--has been duly pierced, as of yesterday. We'll see how his friends handled it. He's pretty pumped. He leaves for church camp on Friday night, so that should be entertaining.

The riddle is: what do Barack Obama and groundhogs have in common? It's not a joke, just a weird commentary on small-town life.

I so don't want to be here today...
