More confusion

Weather: 21 degrees (feels like 21): SUNSHINE (the moon was out when I left home this morning, beautifully glowing...)
Mood: Good
Listening to: Blowers (I'm here alone right now; the headphones will go on later)
Where am I? Work

I left yesterday in a rush because the school called to tell me Sparky was in the nurse's office with a 'migraine.' Took him home where he crashed out on the sofa for two hours. I guess he was sick. Or tired. Or something.

But really, there is something going on. He won't tell us what, but he's been acting goofy for a week or so now. Either he's upset about schoolwork, a teacher, or some kids, but he doesn't want to go to school. Or, maybe he's really sick.

This parenting thing? For the birds. :-)

In other news, I left a note for the Schedule Nazi last week saying I can't work on March 12 because my niece's bridal shower is that day. It really was a courtesy note from me, because on Saturdays I'm totally backup, usually spending the entire day cataloging (amazing as that is!). Here's her reply:
We ask people to {scribble} switch for Sat or Sun if they don't want to lose {scribble} If you want to use it as a personal or vai [vac?] day, I'll get someone to cover--probably [Librarian D]
As if I don't know I'm supposed to find someone to cover my hours! The point being, I don't have desk hours on Saturdays! D'oh. And of course I was planning to comp myself some hours that week so I could take the day off and get my week's worth of work done.

Putz.
