Friday morning

Weather: 27 degrees (feels like 16); streaky clouds in that very pale, cold blue sky you only seen on sunny winter days, or in high altitudes
Mood: OK, coming down with a cold, though
Listening to: Nothing now; just finished Switchfoot, The Beautiful Letdown
Where am I? Home

I slept all the way to the decadently late time of 7:30 this morning, missing Sparky's departure for school entirely. Good thing he has one reliable parent! Said parent had to get up anyway, since he (finally) has an appointment with an Ear/Nose/Throat doctor this morning--where he presently is.

On my plate for today:

  • Update book blog
  • Get dressed (although I may just go back to bed instead)
  • Excavate down to the bare top of my desk, because I MUST...
  • ...Find Sparky's expired passport
  • Mix up the Amish bread
  • Call my mom
  • Call to schedule a mammogram and a colonoscopy (eeuew)
  • Update Microsoft Money
  • Take Sparky to update his passport at the post office (which I should call, to be sure we can do that here in town)
I also fully intend to relax and do some reading.

Sparky leaves for a youth retreat tonight, so that means The Beast and I are on our own this weekend. Too bad I have to work tomorrow.... Oh, well, we'll go out for grownup dinner tonight. We'll probably also buy our Val. Day gifts tonight. Big fun.

Happy weekend to everyone.
