New leaf

Weather: 37 degrees (feels like 27); foggy and rainy. In January.
Mood: Determined
Hair: Big barrette, curled (FITYMI again)
Listening to: the blowers now, probably Squeeze in a few minutes

Good things about today (aren't you relieved?!)
  1. Paradigm shifts in mental pictures--the world just looks different when you match up your mental picture with reality
  2. Dr. Pepper
  3. My shoulders hurt. I shoveled and snowblowed (snowblew? hmmm) our driveway last night with Sparky's help. It's good to feel your muscles. It's bad to realize you're completely out of shape, but I'm ignoring that for now
  4. Squirrels. I love these guys, even when they look all 'drowned-rat' because of the rain
  5. Bookmarks magazine--where have I been that I haven't known about this??
  6. New barcodes arrived already (we were down to less than 100 library card barcodes last week....oops)
  7. Old friends (a la Simon & Garfunkel, but the actual people too)
  8. New friends
  9. Sleep. Seven hours' worth
  10. The gorgeous guy at the mini-mart--a.k.a. Thumb Ring--whom I hadn't seen for ages. He is just....mmmm. Don't ask me if he had the thumb ring on; I was focused elsewhere. Wow
I must hasten to add that this is all a shaky, pissing in the wind kind of mood swing. Just about anything could (and, most likely, will) threaten to send it flying into outer space.

What the hell, it's nice right now anyway.
